From the great up north, tucked away in a little frigid tundra land known as the U.P., people build campfires.
Not to stay warm but to attract a man so legendary, so funny, so musically talented, so unapologetically
redneck, he has become known to the local people as Freddy Finger Schnitz.
Sometimes referred to as “The Mexican”, even though his heritage is deeply embedded from central Spain, how
he ended up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is pretty straightforward. Due to the fact that the main focus on
immigration was between the southern border of the United States and Mexico, he snuck through the less
secure, more relaxed, Canadian border and made the woods of Northern Michigan his natural dwelling place.
So, if you find yourself building and tending to a fire in a nice campground or somewhere deep within the woods
long ways away from civilization, if your fire is big and bright enough, you might get the rare opportunity to
experience Freddy Finger Schnitz live in person.
However, if you are not fortunate enough to experience this loud-mouthed, fast-talking, guitar-playing, joke-
telling, backwoods cowboy that sneaks up on your campsite during
the night, you can still share in the experience here!
Pull up a chair, we are happy to have ya!
